You do understand that doing your own maintenance, especially an oil change, does NOT void your warranty, right?

Not technically ‘void,’ but if you have internal engine problems after 5 years/60k, Kia will expect some kind of maintenance documentation. Walmart receipts for oil or handwritten records probably won’t be sufficient.
