Stereo settings?

Personally, I believe the k5 stereo system should perform better. I previously owned an Optima, which had an excellent system. Perhaps my settings are off? What are everyone’s standard system settings for treble, bass, and so on? I listen to a lot of hip hop and dance music as reference.

Which system are you referring to?

Just the stock stereo that comes with the GT line K5 (2023)

If this is the stock system then I hate to tell you it’s just the way it is, it’s never gonna sound any better really no matter what you change settings wise.

lol I kinda had a feeling there wasn’t a whole lot I could do to make it better without just buying speakers - time for an upgrade!!

True. Stock might just be too bad but if this help I leave everything alone except treble at 5 (one before max) bass at 6 (max)

The Bose system on the 2025 is the worst “upgraded” system I’ve ever heard, and I’ve been doing installs since the 1980s. Still love the car, but if you’re gonna get one, set aside some money for subs and new door speakers, at least.

What kind would you recommend? Preferably a nice “budget friendly” option but if there’s an amazing one that you recommend I’m open to suggestions

It seems that the consensus is to replace the front door speakers first, and then add a powered sub. Someone on here recommended a nice set of Pioneer speakers that were relatively cheap, and then a 10" Pioneer sub. The door speakers are probably fine, but the sub cut off at 40Hz, which is far too high imho. I’m probably gonna go with a Rockford Fosgate all-in-one.
