I just got a 2025 Kia K5 GT-Line and was wondering if there’s a way to adjust the brightness of the navigation/AC control strip. It’s fine at night, but I had trouble reading it during sunset. Any advice? Thanks!
I don’t think there’s a way to adjust it separately from the rest of the display. I ran into the same issue the other day and found it pretty frustrating.
You’re right—getting a tint will make it easier to see
All windows have a 20% tint…
Ensure the light sensor on the dash isn’t blocked. It adjusts the brightness of the lights and screens—brighter during the day and dimmer at night. If your car is too dark, it might not be triggering the sensor properly. I usually don’t have that issue unless it’s cloudy, but I have 50% tint in the front and 35% in the back.
It’s likely the same problem we all experience with phone screens on very sunny days. Your best option is probably to keep the roof closed.
Isn’t there a button above your knee on the dash?
