Hey everyone, I just got a 2017 Kia K5 but I need a place to get the software updated since the navigation isn’t working. I tried to update it myself but I couldn’t figure it out.

Does anyone know of a place in Sharjah or Dubai

Don’t take it to the dealership They really don’t know what they are doing.

What stopped you from doing it yourself My wife updates her Sorento by herself.

A friend of mine has a GCC car that had the same problem when he tried to update with an SD card It turned out his SD card was bad.
If all else fails, you could buy a different one Just make sure it’s Class 10 and 32GB and avoid buying from Amazon because a lot of them are fake

I bought 3 different SD cards :joy: nothing seems to work

That’s probably why GCC and US specs are different

Sorry that was unclear You can’t use ME maps on a US spec car

There are lots of shops near Yasmeen Building in Sharjah that can help you out for about 100 or 200

I can’t even select the NA maps when I download the software from the downloader

Personally, I only updated to get CarPlay After that, I took the SD card out of the car slot so I wouldn’t see random US locations on my screen (the map gets switched with climate control/info)
