Does Anyone Else Have This Issue

@Farley
I submitted a ticket to Kia, and they said their software team is looking into it. Unfortunately, she mentioned that we just have to wait until it’s updated again.

Thanks, looks like renaming the necessary files and removing the unnecessary ones works for the Niro EV as well. My car is currently updating.

@Farley
Yes, my 2023 Niro EV updated without issues after deleting and renaming the files.

Same thing happened to me. I tried formatting my drive twice and running the installer twice, still no luck. What’s going on?

I’ve never done the updates. How do I do it step by step please? I have a 2022 GT Line.

Just go to kia.update.com on your computer and follow the instructions. You need a 64GB thumb drive to download the files. After that, plug it into the data USB port in your car, go to settings on your screen, then general and select update. You can turn off the car while it updates. You might run into issues like I did with the current update. Just to clarify, this is if your car has navigation. If not, there’s a different option for other versions. You’ll get it once you reach the site. I’m not sure if those are having issues too. Let me know if it works for you.

@Bela
Okay, my car does have navigation, but I don’t use it. I prefer Apple Maps.

Same here, but it also does other updates like audio settings and fixes bugs. Sometimes there are UI changes too. It’s not just navigation updates.
