Tuning for K5 GT-Line

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if it’s possible to modify a GT-Line to your liking. I’ve noticed other cars on the road with burble and flame tunes.

The only option we have easily available is the JB4 tune, but that doesn’t seem to make much difference in terms of noise or performance; it mostly just adds a bit of power and improves fuel efficiency.

I’ve heard that tuning newer cars can be more challenging due to their modern builds, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate. I’m in northern NJ, so if anyone knows of local tuning spots, I’d appreciate the info!

Use the positive equity to upgrade to a GT. That’s what I did, and it’s totally worth it.

Tork Motorsports’ ECU is basically an enhanced version of SXTH Element’s. They also offer a standalone ECU for Kia/Hyundais, but it’s quite expensive.

I’ve got a JB4, K&N cold air intake, and a muffler delete. It sounds great with some nice burbles, and everything’s running smoothly so far.

If you’re looking for more noise, check out the new Borla full exhaust kit. It sounds awesome with some pops and gurgles. Pair it with the JB4 tune, a K&N cold air intake, and a blow-off valve for the full effect.
